Memories
Your comments and photos from "Tell Us About Yourself" will show here. We love catching up with your story over the decades that have passed.

Jeb and Barb (Quillen) Egbert
While in high school, I made an effort to load up on credits in my first few years, not knowing that the school would close after our junior year. Thankfully, I had enough credits to graduate and subsequently moved into my freshman year at Ambassador College where I met my amazing future wife, Barb Quillen, on the first day of freshman orientation. In May of 1978, Barb and I got married on May 14th...and graduated from college the next day!
We both worked for the Worldwide Church of God and Ambassador College for the better part of twenty years. In the midst of that, we had three amazing kids: John (38), James (35) and Brittany (33). The Pasadena campus of Ambassador closed in 1990 and we moved to Big Sandy, where I served in administrative roles through to its closure in 1997. We then moved to Frisco, Texas where I worked for Ross Perot's old company, Electronic Data Systems. After six years, I had the itch to return to higher education and enjoyed serving as the president of Argosy University, first in Dallas and then in Orange County. In 2009 I transitioned to my final career stop, where I served as president of West Coast University. The institution grew from 2,000 to 12,500 students during my tenure.
Meanwhile, John married Hannah Cooper and James married Cara Armstrong. John and Hannah have two kids: Jenson (3) and Emmy (5 months). James and Cara have two boys: Grayson (6) and Ollie (4). Our daughter owns a Pure Barre studio in North Hollywood which, post-pandemic, seems to be flourishing.
I retired in 2022, and God has blessed Barb and me in so many ways. We are enormously grateful, and look forward to connecting/reconnecting with so many who were our friends in those formative school years.

Rick and Denise Guthy
After graduation from Imperial I attended Ambassador College. I met my future wife (Denise) there in 1976 and we married after graduation in 1978. For a short while we lived in Whitefish, Montana, but we moved back to Pasadena in 1981. I then started working with my brother (Bill Guthy, IHS class of '72)…and as the business continued to grow and we needed an east coast distribution center, we built one in Asheville, NC in 1989 and we have lived there ever since. I worked with Bill and this business for 31 years and then decided it was time to do something new and exciting.
Our family then opened Wicked Weed Brewing in 2012 (also in Asheville) and sold that brewery to Anheuser-Busch in 2017. Since that time, I have been retired and enjoying lots of quality and quantity time with family and friends.
Denise and I have two sons (Ryan 37 and Connor 35). Both are happily married and we have five grandchildren between them. We all live in Asheville and we get together several times a week. I enjoy golf (although am not very good), pickleball, traveling with the family and time on the lake. I really look forward to seeing everyone in May!

Marcia Barriga-Collum
After graduating, I went to work for the Spanish Department of Ambassador College where for 1 year, then attended East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park where I earned my A.A. degree. Afterwards, in 1976, I went to work for Prudential Insurance where I paid claims for employees of the Union Oil company in downtown L.A. for 3 years. I met my first husband Austin Del Castillo in 1977 and we married in 1979. Seven years later, our first child Matthew was born. The next year, Rebekah was born, then 6 years later, Hannah. Sadly, in 2002 our marriage was dissolved, however most amicably. We’re extremely thankful for our three children and the joy that they’ve brought to our lives.
In 2005, I married Lance Collum in 2005 and moved to his hometown of Florence, AL. While there, I worked for the University of N. Alabama as the assistant to the campus Chief of Police. Lance retired and we moved back to CA in 2009, where I worked for the University of La Verne (ULV) for 5 years in the College of Education and 5 years in Graduate Admissions. In April 2013, my son Matthew and I published a children’s book, Max and Leo.” I wrote the story, and he illustrated it, since he’s been a gifted artist from a child.
My youngest daughter Hannah was blessed to be able to attend ULV and obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology at no cost, due to my employment there. In the fall of 2018, Lance and I decided to give the Boise, ID area a try. We lived in Meridian, ID, since my older sister Diana and her family were already living there. While there, I worked for the first medical school in Idaho – The Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) in Student Affairs. But after 2 years of feeling like I was always freezing cold (you can take the girl out of CA, but you can't take CA out of the girl), and missing my grown children, we returned to CA in December of 2020 and are since living in the beautiful city of Glendale. To stay sharp and busy, I manage a lovely 72-unit building near the Glendale Galleria. It's truly been the perfect fit for me as it allows me to use my people and managerial skills.
I just purchased a new guitar and am currently taking lessons. I’ve always loved music & singing and hope to strum out some of old folk tunes, or whatever sounds good to me.
There are no grandchildren yet, but I remain hopeful. Above all, I'm immensely thankful to God for my life, and for all the twists and turns that have made it what it is today. I feel truly blessed to have a kind husband and three amazing adults that I'm so proud to call my children.

Marcia Barriga-Collum

Just one more...with my beautiful daughters. Okay, I'm oughta here! :)

Melanie (Hadley) Jones
Robert and I live on Oregon coast in Brookings.
Between us we have 5 kids, 10 grandkids and 4 great-grandkids.

Lori (Rapp) and Fred Schneider
My last year at Imperial was my 10th grade year, our family moved to Tempe AZ. I graduated high school then went to Ambassador College. After college Fred Schneider and I got married, and stayed in the area. I became a Natural Childbirth Instructor for many years , and even taught Rick Guthy and Denise their Childbirth Classes, obviously one of the funniest classes I taught.
Through the years Fred and I had 4 children, a daughter and 3 sons, which are the joys of my life. I later changed things up and became a pre-school teacher until I retired and started caregiving for Fred's mother and my parents until their passing 2 years ago.
Fred and I are enjoying our retirement by spending fun times with our children and our 5 grandchildren. We split our time between La Canada and Santa Barbara where we are working on our Avocado Farm, trying to master the challenges of nurturing the trees and keep the wildlife at a distance.

Lori (Rapp) and Fred Schneider
All these years later...still enjoying life and each other.

Ken and Lana Hygh
After Imperial closed in 1974, I went to Alhambra High and graduated in 1976. The next year I hired on at IBM, where I stayed for 43 years until I retired in 2020. Was moved to Raleigh NC in 1986, and took up programming for the rest of my career. We had the opportunity to spend a couple of years in Rome, Italy in the 90s.
I married the love of my life, Lana, in 1979. We have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
We spend our time with kids & grandkids, camping & hiking, volunteering in the local community, ballroom dancing, and pastoring a church here in the Raleigh area.
We're really looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Barb (Ellis) Riley
Following graduation in 1974, I attended USC and married Roger Korthuis and moved to Seattle in 1978, where my first daughter was born. I moved my Real Estate career to Denver in 1981 and my second daughter was born in 1985. I am now the single proud Grandmother of 10 and still live in Denver, with no immediate plans to retire. I try to see my Grandchildren as often as possible, as they are the joy of my life. Half of them live in Orlando, Florida and the other half in Spokane, Washington. I have traveled to all 50 states and three continents and have been a big game hunter and fisherman. I am embracing life as a senior citizen and am looking forward to renewing acquantances from 50 years ago.

Rachel (Kuipers) Rowlinson
Hello All! This is Rachel Rowlinson (Formerly Kuipers/Gaston). My husband Steve and I have been married for 13 years—we split our time between our homes in Asheville, North Carolina and Melbourne, Florida. We both love to garden and spend time outdoors as much as possible. We are ‘mostly’ retired from real estate…we still care for 4 of our residential rentals.
Shortly after the ‘Long Beach Bus’ stopped running, our family moved to Oregon where I became a ‘part-time farmer’s daughter’ for 4 years—after HS graduation, I attended Ambassador for a year and a half. During, and after that, I worked for WCG in Mail Processing and Accounting until my first child’s birth in 1981. After homeschooling my children for 15 years, I worked in real estate from 2002 on—back office, sales, and management.
I have 4 children from my first marriage to Ritchie Gaston: Elisabeth, Philip, Matthew and Velvet. My sons and their wives have blessed me with 5 grandchildren—aged 6 months to 8 years old—spending time with them is one of the highlights of my life right now. Oh, and if you happen to see me wearing an eye patch, do not be alarmed--the pirate ship is not close by! I have some delayed radiation damage to my left eye from treatment for Ocular Melanoma, and being in HVAC'd environments is super-irritating--thus, the eye patch to protect it from the drying effect.
[Thanks very much to the Reunion Committee for inviting those of us who were ‘short-timers’ (grades 1-6 for me) at Imperial and were not part of the 1975 graduating class.]
Here's my newest favorite g-baby, Henry...recent visit to our FL place.

Rachel (Kuipers) Rowlinson
The 'crew', this past 4th of July in NC--we were only missing my youngest, Velvet...she was so bummed when she got Covid 2 days before she was supposed to fly out.

Fran and Sharon Scherich
I had the double pleasure of experiencing two Senior classes filled with wonderful and outstanding classmates. My dad got transferred to Big Sandy around Thanksgiving. After graduation, I attended Ambassador College in Big Sandy and met my future wife, Sharon, during Freshman Orientation. I was able to graduate when the college closed in 1977 due to loading up on credits.
I moved to the Dallas area where my wife grew up and we got married in June of 1978. After getting fired for keeping the Feast during our first year of marriage, I was forced to figure out what I wanted to do for a career and got a master’s degree in accounting at UT Arlington. I have worked at Bank of America for 25 years as an asset manager for specialty assets (ownership interests in privately held entities) held in trusts and estates.
We have two lovely daughters (ages 38 and 35) and have been blessed with three sweet granddaughters and a grandson who died after 52 days due to heart issues. I am looking forward to seeing y’all and wonder where 50 years have gone.

Marta (Stephens) Harrell
Dear people,
Where shall I begin? Let me count the years. 😊
When I left California in 1973, I was distraught! I cried for a whole day! My dad said you might meet your future husband! I cried harder!
My dad took a job at AR State University in Jonesboro, AR.
It was the other side of the world, it seemed, I didn’t even know one person from AR. I had stopped crying by the time we drove into Salt Lake City, Utah! But a week later when my dad said we’ve crossed the border into Arkansas, the flood began again! July 31, 1973, arrived in Arkansas! My first impression was that it was humid, hot & noisy! Not from traffic but cicada’s! It was a loud hum! My senior year was spent at a smaller school than Imperial! It was a Church of Christ parochial private School! That was a shock to my system! Fast forward to my dad’s prediction: I did find my future husband, Alfred Harrell. We have been married 49 years. He is my best friend & I don’t know how he has put up with me all these years. We have two children & five granddaughters, their ages 16,11, & triplet 8 year olds! Yes triplet’s!
I was a homemaker for my family till they left home. I volunteered a lot. My volunteering led me to working with the elderly. I went to get training at he University of AR in Little Rock to become an Activity Director. This was 1998- 2024! I have loved my job! I retired in 2021, COVID-19 was a very hard stressful year! It was hard on us all in the Long Term Care healthcare business, as well as for the families & my residents! My old boss called me out of retirement to help him start a smaller memory care facility for dementia Residents. I’m only part time! So here we are this is the nutshell of my life.
Ps: I kept my friendship with Rachel Rushing’s Wilson’s life & Tom Frampton’s life. I have been able to travel several places with them. Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, & when my daughter had her first born, Rachel & I flew to France, to see my daughter pregnant & be with her when she had her daughter Then again when she had the triplets! Rachel is more like my sister. I have felt blessed!
If you want to e-mail me, please do so! Take care everyone & have a good time!
Marta Née Stephens

Carolyn (Egbert) Auten
Hello to all! Imperial closed after my sophomore year, and I then moved to the East coast with Mom and Dad -- while my brother (Jeb) and sister (Lynn) both stayed in Pasadena, attending Ambassador College. After graduating a year and a half early from high school, I returned to Pasadena to attend A.C., which closed after my junior year.
I was married to Stan McNiel in 1980 and we served in the field ministry for 18 years. Both of our children were born in Brainerd, MN.
After our final transfer with the church, our marriage ended while living in Charlotte, N.C. I went on to work as a nurse in the E.R. at a local hospital, and then for many years in public health. I recently retired from my nursing career, and was married to my husband, Brice, this past September. I'm loving this new chapter while spending more time with my kids and precious grandkids, gardening, playing tennis, church and community service, reading, cooking, traveling, and all the other fun stuff that life has to offer!
I cherish my upbringing in the church, albeit unique, as well as the many wonderful friends and memories that were made along the way. I'm looking forward to reconnecting with you all in Dallas.

Carolyn (Egbert) Auten
Being a grandparent is the best!! xo

Claire (Goodman) Gilless
After graduating from Imperial Big Sandy in 1974, I spent 2 years at Ambassador College in Big Sandy and then transferred to the Pasadena campus in 1976, graduating in 1978.
I married Vance Gilless June 2, 1985, and we have 2 sons, Joshua and Aaron. I homeschooled them through high school and both are Eagle Scouts.
Joshua married Emma Prunty and he works as a senior software developer at Google and Emma is a storyboard revisionist for DreamWorks. They’ve recently given us our first grandson.
Aaron married Catalina Reiter and they live in Phoenix. Aaron is working as a senior technical analyst at ASU and Cat is pursuing her master’s in biology.
I’ve had a couple of dream jobs. I’ve always loved books so working at the Paper Egret at AC after college was just up my alley. I got some of my skills from Imperial for this job with the bookkeeping classes we took.
I started my favorite job after our youngest son started college. That was working for 2 multi-millionaires in San Marino as a personal assistant. Skills from Imperial helped me with this job as one of the gentlemen really avoided the computer at all costs, and I worked with the typewriter, check cutting machine, Dictaphone, etc. that we all learned from Mr. Reese all those years ago. The other boss embraced technology and I did all sorts of work on the computer for him.
We are retired now and have been able to enjoy hiking, biking, and some fun travel adventures.
I am currently battling cancer and had a good run of over 15 months of remission, but it has now reoccurred, and I will be facing more treatments starting the end of April or beginning of May. I am so sorry to miss this reunion as I was looking forward to seeing so many of you. Looking forward to seeing photos and posts of the reunion!

Claire (Goodman) Gilless
Another photo ... first one cut off part of the family but has my 2 sons and grandson :-)
This is of Vance and me at Descanso Gardens

Sandy (Conner) Dickinson
Roger and I have been married over 30 years. We have a blended family consisting of his son Riley, and my three children Tina, Shaun and Kristy. We are also blessed with 6 grandchildren. Three boys and three girls ranging in age from 3 to 19.
We owned a quick lube for many years and we did a lot of traveling. Resorts and cruises.
We sold the business in 2012 and bought a fifth wheel. We traveled around the country for our first couple of years of retirement and loved every minute.
We are settled down now in Lincoln City, Oregon and enjoying a good life.
Elizabeth (Kloster) Andrews
I finished High School in Los Angeles and moved onto Cal State LA and Pasadena City College settling into Dental studies. I married Steve Andrews in 1977 and worked until the birth of our son, Ryan, in Pasadena, CA. Sean was born in the State of Virginia two years later. Stephanie followed four years later in Oklahoma. I went back to school when the kids were in school and became a Dental Hygienist and worked in the field until retiring in 2012.
Life has been anything but boring. We have various life experiences (work and otherwise) over the 50 years living in several areas of the states and enjoying some awesome travel. Last summer, Steve retired and we decided to move out of California to be closer to the precious grandchildren. We split time to spend time with Stephanie’s family (a son and daughter) outside of Pittsburgh, PA, and, we also live in west Florida in the Pensacola area where Ryan’s family (2 boys) resides. Sean has one daughter and currently lives in Riverside, CA. There are five grandchildren and they are the “loves” of our lives. They range in age from 3 years to 9 years old.
We are currently settling down in Florida and adjusting to retirement and a new normal. Look forward to seeing you all in Dallas for the reunion and catching up further.

Ed Frampton
After graduating from John Marshall High School in 1975, I attended Ambassador College in Big Sandy one year. I returned to Pasadena, and after a hiatus doing some traveling and working at a variety of jobs, I graduated from AC in 1981. Later that year I married Christy Pendry. I worked in the Plant Maintenance Department in Pasadena until 1990. During that time, we had two boys, Daniel, and Robert. In 1990 we decided to leave California and moved to Indiana where Christy grew up. We live in central Indiana near Indianapolis.
I worked a variety of jobs until my brother Tom asked me to join him in the ceiling fan business, Fanimation, which he started in 1984 in his garage in Pasadena. Tom and his family also moved to Indiana, around 1993.
Our sons Daniel and Robert both live near Raleigh, NC and we’ve been blessed with 6 grandchildren ages 4-14.
I’m currently still employed with Fanimation but will be retiring later this year and possibly moving to North Carolina to be close to the kids and grandkids.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
Here’s a few photos of the family this last Thanksgiving, and one of Christy and I while visiting Glacier National Park in 2021 for our 40th wedding anniversary.

Randy La Brier
After graduating, I stayed in Pasadena where I eventually worked at Headquarters.
There, I met and married my wonderful wife Dawn in 1985.
We’ve been blessed with two amazing daughters and after a few too many earthquakes in the early 90’s we decided to relocate to Colorado in 95.
We have been here in Colorado Springs since and really enjoy the open space beautiful Rockies.
After nearly 30 years working in commercial printing I made a career change and followed my passion becoming a journeyman electrician.
Dawn sells business insurance for Progressive Insurance working from home and I plan on working another year before retiring. At which time Dawn has plenty of projects to keep me busy including my hobby, woodworking..

Bryan Clark
My family left Pasadena for Big Sandy in the middle of 9th grade (I still remember the sendoff I received in Mrs. French’s English class). From there we moved to the thriving metropolis of Oroville, California for my senior year. After high school, I spent several years gold mining and wildland fire fighting (I developed a great body and tan – both long gone so you have to take my word for it). Finally I submitted to my inner calling as a science nerd and attended UC Santa Cruz (yes that one – where Angela Davis was a professor. Huey Newton attended the same college as I did and received his PhD the year I graduated. A bit different than the Ambassador experience). I met my wife, Debbie, there and after school we moved over the hill to the Silicon Valley where we have been ever since. We have two amazing (in spite of their dad) daughters, Skylar and Kacy, and one granddaughter Kailee who is 11 going on 55. After spending 30+ years in industry and outlasting 4 technologies from audio tape through DVDs and spending way too much time away from home, I retired. I now spend most of my time trying to find new ways to annoy Debbie. In my spare time, I enjoy tending to our Monarch butterfly ranch, or weed patch as Debbie refers to it (we are hoping for 200+ head this year), and teaching science at a local elementary school.
I look forward to seeing everyone. If I meet you with a bit of a blank face, please forgive me, it’s been 50+ years and we are getting kinda old!

Matthew Ted Armstrong
Dear all of my Class of ’74 (Big Sandy, TX) and my Class of ’75 (Pasadena, CA). I am sadden for not to make it come to seeing each of you, all of you whom I love, enjoys and laughs with…Now I hardly to believe it’s 50th Anniversary REUNION, already! From the Philippines where I live now temporary, or I stay live there?
I am doing just fine and am happy. I am so proud of my two sons who are grown up, Andrew Seth, now 32 yrs old and Hunter Ted, 24 yrs old, he recent to joined the U.S. NAVY.
Many of you know that I went to Ambassador College after Imperial High School for only Freshmen year. Kyle Moore joined with me to the American Falls, Idaho, for us work as driver of Commercial Vehicle (18 wheelers truck and 53’ long of trailer for the Farmers, harvest of Sugar Beets and famous Giant Potato. My dad were not happy! haha. He asked me to go join with my best friend, best cousin, Rick Carnes for the Junior Kilgore College, I accept and went to live in Big Sandy while I attends several of classes all about artist, advertising, etc. at the Kilgore College for one short season in 1976. Then I moved back to Pasadena and started attends at Pasadena City College for one year 1977. In late of 1977, I got a job full time for the “Good News” and “The Plain Truth” magazines as a Graphics Artist, work together with Greg Smith, also I work at the Printing shop for the magazines in the Dark Room. Till I retired (after 42 years my career as the Graphics Artist and Art director.
Sadly, I got a final of divorced in 2007. Andrew was 11 and Hunter was 5. You wondering why so late raise sons? Simple, I never married til I was 34, second son born happened I was 41!
I am not a Grandfather and I am 67! So you are too! Haha. Cheer to each of you, please stay in good healthy, for I am still swimming as my work out almost everyday at Olympic Pool where I rent the house in Philippines, for it’s a short walk distance to the pool. I thanks God for blessing for I am now enjoying my retirement in Philippines.

Linda (Monsees) Stump
I was able to graduate early after Imperial closed in 1974 and went to work as a secretary for The Ralph M. Parsons Company. My husband, Kris, and I got married in August of 1975. I then worked as an executive assistant for a British company until Kris went into the military. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force, working on several types of aircraft over the years. We were stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, where our eldest daughter, Sheila, was born in 1980. We were transferred to Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana, where our younger daughter, Erin, was born in 1982. Being a military wife was quite an experience; we were able to live in some beautiful places and hike and camp in the backcountry. I was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mum while our girls were little. We moved back to Pasadena for a few years while Kris was in the reserves. We loved hiking in Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, and around the Grand Canyon and Mogollon Rim in Arizona.
Our lives changed rather abruptly when Kris was injured in an accident caused by a drunk driver, and we lived in Phoenix, Arizona for two years before moving to south-central Pennsylvania in 1992. I worked for over two decades in the insurance industry and spent several years as the Chief Compliance Officer for a bank-owned insurance broker-dealer and was responsible for emergency management and business recovery. The company had offices across the country, so I had the opportunity to travel regularly for work. I retired in November of 2021, and I am now working part time as a compliance consultant. It gives me a bit more time to focus on writing, and I have a couple of historical fiction book projects in the works.
Both our daughters graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, and still live in Pittsburgh. Sheila is married to Sean, and they have two children, Shane and Shelby. Erin is married to Josh, and they have two rescue dogs. While we don’t get to see our grandchildren and grand-dogs as often as we’d like, technology allows us to stay in touch. I hope you all have a wonderful time at the reunion, and I will look forward to seeing photos. All the best!

Russell and Phyllis Duke
A lot of time has passed since we left Imperial Schools in 1974. Russell pastored churches in Topeka, Ks. and Kansas City, MO.
We spent 13 years in Big Sandy, TX at Ambassdor University. While in Texas, he worked on and received a PhD in theology, and then became President of the University until it closed in 1997.
We then moved to California where he worked for Azusa Pacific University and served as Associate Dean of the School of Theology until he retired a few years ago.
We have been blessed to have been able to travel extensively in Europe and the Middle East, and still travel as much as we can.
Christopher James, our son, travels with a country band and has 2 daughters, both in college.
Tracy Jo, our daughter, lives in Marietta, GA and has a daughter in College and a son in high school.
We now live in Savannah, GA and are enjoying retirement!

I'm going to just start with my move to Montana - got really tired of the big city and of living in Los Angeles about the same time as 911. My brother had previously moved to Montana and sang its praises loudly - so in 2002 I packed up and took off for the Flathead Lake in Northwest Montana - just a few miles south of Glacier National Park! This is a truly beautiful place to live - and if you ever visit, I will gladly be your tour guide!
I left behind employment in the music business and began to work for my brother doing financial investigations. I eventually bought his investigative agency from him and settled in Lakeside, MT and got a business partner. During the COVID madness my business partner decided to move away from Montana and I became a sole business owner. I am still doing financial investigations, but now my office is in my home, which is a tremendous way to work!!! I'm often working in my pajamas, while watching deer in the yard and eagles flying overhead!!! My newest partner in crime is my new puppy - Minnie Blu (a blue-heeler) and she's like having a rambunctious child! I'm not sure what I was thinking LOLOL.
Life is good, trying to stay healthy and strong - I have lots of really great friends around me! I am really grateful for the ability to see and talk to many of my classmates from Imperial on Facebook! It's so much fun to follow along and see how we are all doing! I'm SO sorry I was unable to attend this reunion... and looking forward to hearing about it and seeing photos! Have a FABULOUS time and I'll raise a toast the opening night of the reunion to many happy memories!

Rick and Susan Carnes
Susan, a teacher, and I married in 1982, not long after I moved to Dallas and started working as a designer. Since then I have worked as creative director for three design studios, starting my own in 2000 . These many years have been wrapped around balancing the raising of our two wonderful daughters while working.
Through the years, we have always made time for sailing, a sport we both love. Our eldest daughter, Ashton, also a designer, is my right arm in our business, Carnes Group. Our younger daughter, Lauren, practices veterinarian medicine. We enjoy spending time with our daughters and their husbands, blessed that they live close.
Our greatest pride and joy is our two-year-old granddaughter, Camryn Lisa. When she wraps her arms around my legs and says, “PopPop, pick you (me) up,” I have no doubt that my family is my heart and soul.

Rachel (Rushing) and Art Wilson
My husband, Art, and I were quite disappointed to miss this reunion. :(
And here is hoping all is well with everyone else these days.
Let’s see, the last 50 years……. Well, 43 of those years I was married to Tom Frampton as many remember. I was divorced and it was quite hard. We have a 46 year old son, Nathan, and a 42 year old daughter, Jennifer. We have two grand children, Avery, our granddaughter and she is 16 and Dylan, our grandson is 14.
I did a ton of traveling with Tom over the years, and I have done quite a bit of volunteer work over the years. I thoroughly enjoyed taking ballroom dancing and some other dance styles that my dance instructor and I invented, you could say, and even the judges really enjoyed them. We did some performances and that was really fun.
Five years ago I married a wonderful man, Art Wilson, and we are very happy. We have gone through a lot the past year, especially, with his health. That culminated in liver and kidney transplants, a day apart in December. He is still recovering. It takes a long time.
We have two adorable Cavapoos, Evie and Abbey.
My Mom is 94 and still with us, but we lost Dad to Dementia in January of 2022. 😢😢
I was also saddened at the loss of some of our classmates. 😢😢 I’m looking forward to the Wonderful heavenly reunion someday!
Hope you all enjoy THIS reunion for now!

After graduating from AC I moved to Texas. Attended graduate school at SMU in Dallas. Then I worked as a chamber of Commerce executive for several years before relocating to North Dakota.
While in North Dakota I managed a non profit company for several years before going to work with the US Postal Service. I retired after 30 years with the USPS two years ago. Since then I have done consulting work with a transportation company with several hundred offices throughout the USA.
My wife Josn and our two children Emily (13) and Danielle (19) live in the capital city of Bismarck ND.
I will miss seeing everyone in Dallas; but, I wish all of you well and hope you have a great reunion.

Lori (Reyer) Sexton
My only year at Imperial was 10th grade (72-73), and from there my family moved to Ohio. After graduation from high school I attended Ambassador College in Pasadena until it closed in 1978, then I moved to Iowa, where my family was living at that time.
After earning my bachelor’s degree at Iowa State University, I returned to Pasadena and worked in the Publishing Department. While working in Pasadena I met and married Denny Sexton. We remained in Pasadena until the end of 1990, when we relocated to the Billings, Montana area. We have 3 daughters, one son and two grandchildren. Denny has most recently worked as assistant to the CEO of a company that services the petroleum industry and I work there in the office part time. I also taught piano here for 25 years and worked several years as the accompanist for our local high school, which I really enjoyed. When our kids were younger, we had a family business breeding and raising Labrador Retrievers. Currently, Dana is office manager where Denny and I work, is married, and raising two teenagers, our son Ted works as a computer programmer/CNC machinist, Amy is an accountant for a firm in Chicago and travels internationally to work with clients, and Jennifer is an MA, working in a medical clinic.
My husband and I are semi-retired now and enjoying the benefits of living in the beautiful state of Montana. Our home overlooks the Yellowstone River and several mountain ranges in the distance.
I am disappointed that I can’t be there for the reunion! Sounds like it will be a great weekend.

George and Penny Geis

My son George (Dewey) is a professor at the University of Virginia; My daughter Terri is a professor at NYU; and my daughter Anne is doing perhaps the most important work as a kindergarten teacher in Alameda. My wife Penny taught 4th grade at Westridge in Pasadena for many years. I have been on the faculty at UCLA since 1985, am retired but have been recalled to teach.

Hello. I spent 44 years working as a C.N.C. machinist and retired 7 years ago. Had a terrible accident that has left me partially disabled and making it hard to walk. I celebrated my 24 years marriage to my beautiful wife this last January. I have two beautiful daughters. I also became an ordained minister about 10 years ago. So now I spend a lot of time playing video games since my mobility is limited.

Tom Frampton
Like everyone, much has happened in the last 50 years. My future career came to pass with a job I landed the summer between our junior and senior high school years. What started as a summer job working for an antique dealer next to the Pasadena train station morphed into what would later be called the ‘Casablanca Fan Company.’ We went from 1 employee (me) in May 1973 to over 200 employees by 1980, operating out of ten buildings scattered around Central Park in Pasadena. In January of 1984, I was able to buy out the specialty products side of the business and form my own ceiling fan manufacturing company that I named ‘Fanimation.’
We are located in the Indianapolis area and celebrated our 40th anniversary this past January. Both of my brothers work in the business; Ed is the VP of operations, and my son Nathan is the CEO. Our primary market is the US, Canada, and Mexico, and we have an office and operations in Asia.
In addition to my son, I have two daughters, Jen and Serena, and two grandkids, Avery and Dylan. I am married to the extraordinary and beautiful Lily, who recently retired from the pharmaceutical industry. We love to travel. This past year, we traveled to Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Hong Kong, and this May, we were in Morrocco.
Everyone will recall Mether Grundy; he was a good friend, but sadly, he passed away in May 2021. I was able to attend his memorial service in Sacramento. I signed the floral arrangement ‘Tom Frampton and the Imperial High School Class of 1974’. Mether was married to Emily; his four children are Crystal, James, Jeremy, and Michael. Mether had worked for more than twenty years in the food service industry.
